Chosen a Finalist for Denver Small Business of the Year
DENVER, CO—May 6, 2014—Green House Data, a leading data center services provider offering VMware cloud hosting, colocation, and managed IT solutions, has been announced as a finalist by the Denver Chamber of Commerce for the 2014 Small Business of the Year Award. This is the second consecutive year the company has been selected for the Business Awards; in 2013 the company was a contender for Green Business of the Year. The Chamber will announce the winner on Friday, May 23rd at the annual Awards Luncheon.
Finalists for the Small Business of the Year Award are selected based on revenue growth, management philosophy, employee satisfaction, and community involvement. Green House Data has doubled its revenue nearly every year since its inception and added 16 employees in 2013. The past year brought several other milestones for the company, including the start of construction on a new data center facility and certification as a Benefit Corporation.
“We’re in great company as a nominee this year and look forward to the announcement of the winners,” said Shawn Mills, President and founding member of Green House Data. “We couldn’t achieve our success without the work of our fantastic employees.”
The past two winners of the award were also technology companies. The 2012 winner was managed IT service company Platte River Networks, and the 2013 winner was NIMBL, specialists in SAP implementation.
Besides Green House Data, the finalists this year include Plumbline Services, a plumbing, heating and cooling company based in Centennial; and Weifield Group Electrical Contracting, whose work includes the new Denver Union Station and NREL Research Support Facility in Golden.
